**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) The instant petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No. 315, dated 10.07.2018, under Sections 354-D, 341, 506/34 IPC, Section 12 of the POCSO Act and Section 25/54/59 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Kundli, District Sonepat.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been in custody since 18th July, 2018 and there is no likelihood of the trial concluding anytime in the near future.
Per contra, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Brij Pal, has apprised this Court that the prosecution evidence is likely to be concluded on the next date of hearing. As only 03 prosecution witnesses remain to be examined.

CRM-M-10788-2021 - 2 - In view of the fact that the trial is nearing completion, this Court is not inclined to extend the concession of regular bail to the petitioner. However, since the petitioner has been in custody since 18th July, 2018, the trial Court concerned is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same positively on or before 15th May, 2021. Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
