**** SANJAY VASHISTH , J. (Oral) Instant petition is for seeking direction to official respondents No.2 & 3 for protecting the lives and liberty of the petitioners, which is at stake at the hands of respondents No.4 to 12. Counsel for the petitioners submits that both the petitioners are living in a live-in relationship. It is admitted case in the petition that petitioner No.1 - Monika, earlier got married with respondent No.4 - Surender on 18.02.2017, and out of the said wedlock, one child was also born. It is also admitted by the petitioners that there is no decree of divorce granted by the competent Court of law for dissolution of marriage of petitioner No.1 - Monika with respondent No.4 - Surender.

From perusal of the petition, it is also noticed that there is no averment or material to substantiate apprehension of threat perception to the lives and liberty of the petitioners. Therefore, such petitions are filed only to seek approval of the relation by way of order of protection passed by the High Court by invoking the extraordinary powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

CRWP-1774-2023 - 2 - Considering all such aspects already, this Court has given the detailed judgment in CRWP-158-2023, titled as, "Manjot Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others", decided on 25.01.2023 (Law Finder doc Id #2117438). Therefore, to curb down such practice, prayer made by the petitioners in the present petition cannot be entertained. Moreover, no specific instance of danger to the lives and liberty of the petitioners, has been highlighted in the petition, or in the representation, supported with some believable/reliable material. Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
