This is a petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking pre-arrest bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 19 dated 11.03.2015 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC at Police Station Mantiana, District Hoshiarpur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has vehemently argued that allegations against the petitioner are false. He, thus, deserves the concession of pre-arrest bail as his custodial interrogation is not required.

Heard.

It appears that marriage of Akwinder Kaur was solemnized with petitioner on 17.02.2013 as per sikh rites. According to allegations, petitioner and his parents started harassing the complainant for bringing insufficient dowry. Prior to registration of case, an inquiry was conducted by Women cell, Hoshiarpur. On the basis of same, instant FIR was registered.
