SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6, parents and other relative petitioner No. 1. Petitioners have limited their prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on their representation dated 28.03.2017 (Annexure P-4) submitted by them to Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural). It has been stated that they are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1- Lovepreet Kaur is 20.09.1997 as per copy of Matriculation Examination Certificate (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2Manohardeep Singh is 24.12.1993 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 28.03.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3.

In view of the submission of the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of their marriage, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jyoti 2017.03.31 15:24 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
