******* KARAMJIT SINGH, J.(Oral) Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners solemnized marriage on 16.05.2022 and it was arranged marriage and at that time parents and other relatives of both the petitioners agreed to said marriage but after sometime family of petitioner No.2 started objecting to the said marriage and now respondents No.4 to 8 are giving threats to cause harm to the petitioners and in this regard, representation dated 14.02.2024 (Annexure P-3) was given to respondent No.2 i.e. Superintendent of Police, Nuh but the police officials failed to take any action in this regard.

Mr. Neeraj Sheoran, DAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of State. He submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law.

In view of above, without going into the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to Superintendent of Priyanka Thakur 2024.02.22 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document



 

  


 

Police, Nuh to consider representation dated 14.02.2024 (Annexure P-3) and to take action if so warranted in accordance with law. 5.

However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners. In case the petitioners have committed any offence, law will take its own course.
