SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 7, parents and other relatives petitioner No. 1. Petitioners have limited their prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on their representation dated 29.03.2017 (Annexure P-5) submitted by them to Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur. It has been stated that they are major. The year of birth of petitioner No.1- Simranjeet Kaur is 1998 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2- Maninder Singh is 1990 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 29.03.2017. Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3.
In view of the submission of the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of their marriage, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur to look into the representation dated 29.03.2017 (Annexure P-5) Jyoti 2017.03.31 15:24 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH
