Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to grant the pay scale of Rs.950-1800/- w.e.f. 01.01.1986 and revised w.e.f. 01.01.1996.

A perusal of the pleadings reveals that the petitioner was appointed as Tandooria on adhoc basis vide office order dated 24.10.1997, whereafter offered temporary appointment on 07.12.1977 w.e.f. 01.01.1978. 3.
Learned State counsel refers to para Nos. 2 to 4 of the written statement dated 08.05.2001 filed on behalf of the respondents, wherein it has been stated that the petitioner was appointed against Class IV post and promoted as Indian Cook on his own request, which was also a Class-IV post in the scale of Rs.325-495/- on 10.05.1985 and accordingly also granted revision of pay scale w.e.f. 01.01.1986 in the pay scale of Rs.800-1455/-, copies of application dated 17.05.1985 and the orders have been enclosed as Annexures R-1 and R-2. In the tentative seniority list of the year 1990, the pay scale of Indian Cook was inadvertently mentioned as Rs.950-1800/-, which was as a matter of fact for Class III post. To the aforesaid facts, there was no rebuttal made by filing any replication.
