The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.0140 dated 14.11.2023, under Sections 465, 468, 471 of IPC, registered at Police Station Division No.2, District Police Commissionerate Jalandhar (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner after arguing vehemently on the merits of the case prays for withdrawal of the present petitioner and has very fairly submitted that the petitioner shall surrender before the trial Court within a week from today. However, he vehemently prays that since the petitioner has absolutely clean antecedents and reasonable defence qua the allegations against him, therefore, his bail application be considered and the same be decided expeditiously.

Considering the above requests and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with a direction to the petitioner to surrender before the trial Court within 10 days from today and, in case, he applies for regular bail, the same be decided expeditiously within 10 working days thereafter on its own merits in accordance with law and without being influenced by this order.
