(Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioner in a case FIR No.95 dated 25.08.2017 under Sections 307, 436, 511,353, 186, 427, 148 and 149 IPC (Sections 120-B and 188 IPC and Section 3 & 4 of Explosive Substances Act, 1908 were added later on) and Section 3 of Prevention of Damages to Public Property Act, 1984 registered at Police Station Bhikhi, District Mansa. Petitioner is stated to be in custody since 20.01.2018. His name figured during investigation. Investigation has been completed and challan presented before the trial court. So, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner in custody any longer. The trial may take time to conclude.
Thus, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Mansa.
