This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents to protect the petitioner's life and liberty from threats made by the private respondents. The petitioner also prays that respondent Nos. 1 to 3 be directed to conduct a threat perception assessment and provide adequate security to ensure the petitioner's safety.

In compliance of order dated 17.02.2025, learned State counsel has filed status report/reply by way of affidavit of Dr. Mehtab Singh, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, District SBS Nagar, in the Registry, which is already taken on record and according to which, there is no evidence on record to establish that the private respondents were MOHIT 2025.09.24 17:22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

In view of the above, it is evident that no credible threat perception exists against the petitioner's safety. In the absence of any such material or proof, the Court finds no grounds to grant the relief sought by the petitioner.
