(Oral) On 17.02.2026, the following order was passed:- "The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that on account of the illness of the mother of the petitioner, the petitioner was unable to join proceedings before the Trial Court. He states that the petitioner is ready and willing to appear before the concerned Court.
Notice of motion for 18.03.2026.
Subject to a deposit of Rs.1,00,000/- as costs with the Sadhna Society for the Mentally Handicapped, Near Housing Board Chowk, Raen Basera Building, Manimajra, Sector 13, Chandigarh, the operation of the order dated 24.05.2024 passed by the JMIC, SAS Nagar, Mohali shall remain stayed. The petitioner shall surrender before the Trial Court within a period of two weeks from today and his bail application shall be decided on merits.
In deference to the aforementioned order, the petitioner has surrendered before the Trial Court and has been granted the concession of interim bail vide order dated 20.05.2026 passed by the Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, SAS Nagar. A copy of the said order is taken on record and marked as Mark 'A'.
