H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) Petitioner - Ritu, aged about 23 years, estranged wife of respondent No.4 Vicky, presently residing at village Nanhera, Tehsil Naraingarh, District Ambala, at her parental place on account of marital dispute with her husband Vicky, has brought the instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing official respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect her life and liberty by providing police protection and for issuance of further direction to protect her from interference in her peaceful life by respondent No.4.

It is stated that before filing of the writ petition, petitioner had submitted a representation dated 2.3.2021, copy Annexure P-2, to Superintendent of Police, Ambala, however, no action has been taken BANITA CHUGH 2021.03.10 12:29 I agree to specified portions of this document

At this stage, Mr. Tanuj Sharma, AAG, Haryana, has accepted notice on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to Superintendent of Police, Ambala, to look into the representation of the petitioner and take suitable action in the matter.

The State counsel has submitted that the official respondents would comply with any such direction issued by the Court. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - the Superintendent of Police, Ambala, to look into representation of the petitioner Annexure P-2 and if he finds that some action in the matter is warranted, then the needful be done in accordance with law, at the earliest.
