IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CWP No. 3084 of 1996 Date of decision: 10.08.2017 Ram Kumar Chaudhary and another ....Petitioner(s)

Versus

State of Haryana and others

...Respondent(s)

CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE G.S.SANDHAWALIA

Present:

Mr. Ankit Chawla, Advocate, for the petitioner.

Mr. Harish Rathee, Sr. DAG, Haryana.

G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no instructions. Service upon private respondents no. 3 to 6 and 8 to 10 is not complete on account of not supplying of fresh address. Challenge in the present writ petition is to the order dated 01.02.1996 (Annexure P-5) whereby, private respondents 3 to 11 have been promoted to the post of Assistant Registrars, Co-operative Societies and, therefore, the said respondents are necessary as contesting respondents but remain unserved. The writ petition was ordered to be heard alongwith CWP Nos. 2085 of 1996 and 6811 of 1994. Both the cases have also been dismissed for want of prosecution as none had put in appearance on behalf of the petitioners on 07.05.2012 in the said cases. Resultantly, it is apparent that the petitioners have also lost interest in litigation due to long pendency.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is also dismissed for want of prosecution.
