(ORAL) The only prayer made by the petitioner is for a direction to the respondent-authorities to consider and decide his appeal dated 04.03.2022 (Annexure P-7) pending before the appellate authority i.e. Director, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Punjab.

Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, appearing for the respondents, submits that the petitioner's appeal would be taken up and decided by the concerned appellate authority expeditiously in accordance with law, provided the petitioner renders full cooperation in the matter. He further submits that the petitioner's interim application would also be considered and taken up for orders by the concerned appellate authority at the earliest.

In view of the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the statement of learned State counsel, the writ petition stands disposed of.
