The petitioners have been working as Multipurpose Health Workers (Female) on contratual basis between the year 2008 to 2011 and reliance is placed on the judgment passed by Hon'ble the Supreme Court in State of Punjab vs. Jagjit Singh, 2016 SCT 641 and relied upon in CWP-6784-2017 and CWP-22252018, disposed of on 27.02.2024 and 27.08.2024. In this regard, a legal notice along with postal receipts dated 19.12.2024 and 20.12.2024, Annexures P-8 and P9 respectively, have been served upon respondents, however, the same have yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 19.12.2024, taking note of the aforesaid judgments, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon          !""# 0 #
