ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for quashing of FIR No.234 dated 09.10.2011 registered under Sections 307, 120-B IPC and 25/54 of the Arms Act at Police Station Nakodar, District Jalandhar. Notice of motion was issued in this case on 19.11.2015. on 27.09.2017, a status report by way of an affidavit of Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Nakodar, Jalandhar was filed and as per this affidavit, the prosecution evidence has already been concluded and the case is fixed for defence evidence. Counsel for the petitioner has argued that no case is made against the petitioner as he was not present at the spot and there is delay in registration of the FIR and it is a case where no injury was caused to the complainant.

Counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Paramjeet Singh, has stated that the case was listed for today for conclusion of defence evidence.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous in view of the fact that the trial is at the final stage, with liberty to the petitioner to raise all the pleas/defences before the trial Court.
