No one appears on behalf of the petitioner. Since, it is an old matter, no useful purpose would be served by floating the same anymore. 2.

The petitioner has preferred this writ petition challenging the order terminating her services.

At the time of issuing notice of motion, this Court observed that the appointment of the petitioner was on sympathetic grounds and it could not be 89 days basis and the petitioner has to be treated as on regular basis, therefore, the Court passed order dated 12.02.1997, directing the respondents to continue the petitioner in service till further orders. 3.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner's services were subsequently regularized on 17.12.2003 and she has attained superannuation on 31.01.2021.

Keeping in view that the petitioner was appointed on compassionate ground on account of death of her husband and the initial RAJESH KUMAR 2023.10.06 10:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment. Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.

action of the respondent in dispensing with the services of the petitioner by treating her on 89 days basis, is found to be unjustified, as the petitioner has subsequently served the department and has also attained superannuation and has also been given all service benefits. Therefore, the interim order passed by this Court is made absolute.

In view thereof, no further orders are called for in the writ petition. The writ petition is allowed accordingly. 6.
