CORAM:
HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE RITU BAHRI
Present:
Mr. Sukhdeep Singh Sidhu, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Amandeep Singh Gill, Advocate, for U.T., Chandigarh. Mr. Suraj Preet Kang, Advocate for respondent No.2.
**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.121 dated 20.03.2015, under Section 498-A IPC, registered at Police Station Sector 26, Chandigarh, on the basis of compromise dated 25.02.2017 (Annexure P-2).
Brief facts of the case are that marriage between the petitioner and respondent No.2 was solemnized about 13 years ago and out of the said wedlock, two children were born. Due to incompatibility of temperament, both the parties could not live together as husband and wife. The relationship between them became strained and thereafter, the F.I.R was registered against the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that keeping in view the peace and harmony, the matter has now been amicably settled between the parties with the intervention of respectable persons, vide compromise dated 25.02.2017 (Annexure P-2).
