(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent - authorities to grant pay protection to the petitioner in view of the undertaking given by respondent - State and to make the payment of arrears and all other benefits to the petitioner. There was no representation on behalf of the petitioner on the last date of hearing i.e. 22.07.2024, therefore, notice was ordered to be issued to the petitioner for today.

As per office report, notice issued to the petitioner has been received back with the report that he has died. No legal representatives of the petitioner have been brought on record.

In this view of the matter, the present petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
