The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to grant the UGC pay scales to the petitioners as per advertisement, Government instructions and the University Calendar.

Learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to submit a representation to the respondents for the surviving grievances, within a period of four weeks. 3.
