**** HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI , J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that keeping in view the law laid by this Court in CWP No.2866-2014 titled as 'Karanvir Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others', decided on 30.09.2016 as well as the instructions dated 04.07.2019, which have been issued by the Government of Punjab, petitioner is entitled for the revision of his pension alongwith the arrears. Learned counsel for the petitioner argues that though claim of the petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment in Karanvir Singh (supra) as well as by the instructions which have been issued by the Government of Punjab on 04.07.2019 to implement judgment in Karanvir Singh (supra) in respect of all the employees, but still the benefit has not been released to the petitioner and that too without any valid justification. CWP-4834-2020 -2direction to the respondents to revise the pension of the petitioner keeping in view the law laid down by this Court in Karanvir Singh (supra) alongwith consequential benefits.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that for the relief, which has been sought in the present writ petition, petitioner has served respondent No.2 with a legal notice dated 01.11.2019 (Annexure P-4), which is still pending consideration with respondent No.2 and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to respondent No.2 to decide the said legal notice. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner, respondent No.2 is directed to decide the legal notice dated 01.11.2019 (Annexure P-4) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
