The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 3 to re-issue him passport.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that an FIR No. 12 dated 24.03.2013, under Sections 431, 341, 283 of IPC was registered against the petitioner at Police Station Joga, District Mansa. The police firstly submitted cancellation report on 10.09.2019 and thereafter on 06.09.2022, however, trial court has ordered for re-investigation. The petitioner on 16.09.2023 applied for re-issuance of passport, however, till date passport has not been issued.
