The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in respect of FIR No.16 dated 26.1.2019 under Sections 406, 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, Police Station Mullanpur, District SAS Nagar, Mohali. 2.

The FIR was registered at the instance of Manpreet Kaur wherein it has been alleged that she was married to the petitioner on 16.11.2016 and that her father had spent amount much beyond his capacity. It is further been alleged therein that various articles of jewellery were given at the time of marriage but accused were not happy with the same and were pressurizing and harassing her in order to press upon their demand or more dowry. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that parties have amicably resolved the matter and compromised the same. 4.

In view of the fact that matter is arising out of matrimonial discord which has now been resolved, there is no occasion for warranting any custodial interrogation. Accordingly the petition is accepted and the interim directions issued vide dated 11.3.2019 by this Court are hereby made absolute subject to the condition that the petitioner would appear before Investigating Officer as and when called upon to do so and cooperate with the Investigating Officer and shall also abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438 (2) Cr.P.C.
