2022-11-10Mr. Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal1 pages

In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh CWP-4688-2019 (O & M) Date of Decision: November 10, 2022 KRISHAN SHARMA .....PETITIONER

VERSUS

STATE OF HARYANA AND ANOTHER ....RESPONDENTS

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL

Present:

Mr. R. Kartikeya, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. Kapil Bansal, DAG, Haryana.

**** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J (ORAL) The petitioner had contended that he had secured 142 marks in the written examination and had erroneously not been called for interview even though the last selected candidate, who had been called for the interview had secured 130 marks.

This Court by order dated 22.02.2019 had directed that the petitioner be provisionally interviewed and the result be kept in a sealed cover. Learned State counsel has produced the result, which is taken on record. It indicates that the petitioner had secured 138 marks in the written examination and 08 marks in the interview and, therefore, had secured a grand total of 146 marks. He further submits that the last selected candidates in EBPG category had secured 150 marks.

Therefore, as the petitioner had secured less marks than the last selected candidate, I do not find any merit in this petition. The petition stands dismissed.
