The matter is taken up for hearing through video conference due to COVID-19 situation.

This is a petition seeking directions to the official respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the instance of respondent No. 4 and his relatives. The grievance raised is that applications dated 23rd February, 2021 and 1st March, 2021 are not being considered by the official respondents.

Mr. H.S. Sitta, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions, submits that police had gone at the address mentioned in the petition of respondent No. 4.
