Prayer in CRWP-1490-2025 filed by father of the alleged detenue is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing respondent No.2-Nari Niketan, Karnal, to release the minor daughter of the petitioner and in CRWP-1975-2025, similar prayer has been made by petitioner, who claims himself to be the husband of the alleged detenue. In compliance of order dated 10.03.2025 passed by this Court, detenue Mumtaz has been produced in Court. 4.

The undersigned has interacted with the detenue in Chambers, where she stated that she is a minor. She further clarified that at the time of her previous statement, she was not aware that Rafik was already married. She has now expressed her desire to return to her parents of her own free will, without any coercion. She has also recorded a statement to this effect.

In the light of the statement made by the detenue, the CRWP-1490-2025 stands allowed and the State is directed to release the detenue forthwith and allow her to go with her parents. 6.

Consequently, CRWP-1975-2025 stands dismissed. 7.

In the light of the decision of the main petition, pending applications stand disposed of.
