HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J By means of this petition, the petitioner has invoked the jurisdiction of this Court under Section 482 Cr.P.C seeking direction that the sentences awarded to him in two different criminal cases may be allowed to run concurrently.

Having been convicted in case FIR No.54 dated 23.03.2014 for the offence under Sections 304 Part-I, 326-A IPC registered at P.S Dinanagar, District Gurdaspur, the petitioner was sentenced to undergo RI for life with fine of Rs.1,00,000/-. While the petitioner was undergoing the sentence, one another FIR No.67 dated 17.06.2015 under Sections 307/324 IPC and Section 52-A of Prisoners Act was registered at P.S City Gurdaspur, District Gurdaspur in which the petitioner has also been convicted and sentenced for life imprisonment with fine of Rs.2000/-. Challenging his conviction, the petitioner filed two separate appeals bearing CRA-D-1047-DB of 2018 and CRA-D-313-DB of 2019 before this Court, which have been admitted and are pending adjudication. Since criminal appeals preferred by the petitioner against the judgments of conviction are pending adjudication, it would be open for the MANOJ KUMAR 2021.09.10 09:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
