(ORAL) At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has made two fold submissions that the trial is pending for the past about 5 years but still witnesses are yet to be examined and the petitioner is 65 years of age. It is submitted that necessary directions may be issued to the trial Court. If the submissions made above are correct, the trial Court is directed to expedite the disposal of trial and the petitioner is also at liberty to move appropriate application before the trial Court, seeking exemption from his personal appearance which the trial Court shall consider and dispose it of, in accordance with law. The instant petition is disposed of with the aforesaid directions.
