Present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner(s) in case FIR No. 210 dated 2.10.2016, registered under Section 409 IPC at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar. Petitioner is allegedly involved in commission of offence of breach of trust and misappropriation of funds to the tune of ` 1,32,00,000/- while working as Secretary, HOUSEFED at Shahkot Division. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that the petitioner has since joined the investigation and no purpose shall be served by detaining him in custody. Thus, he be released on pre-arrest bail. Criminal Misc. No. M-11674 of 2017 already misappropriated a huge amount of ` 1,32,00,000/-, in association with some other persons, during a long span of 20 years while remained posted at different places. The petitioner has not co-operated with the investigation and he is also required for further investigation. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties; the fact that the petitioner is involved in misappropriation of a huge amount of ` 1,32,00,000/- and he is further required for the purpose of investigation, there is no ground for grant of pre-arrest bail to him. Thus, the present petition stands dismissed.
