By way of present petition, petitioner - Simran Mahant, is seeking transfer of the proceedings of the case from the Courts at Dhuri, Distt. Sangrur to the Courts of competent jurisdiction at Patiala. 2.
The ground taken is that respondent No.2, who is accused, is an influential and powerful person, who is issuing threats to the petitioner. Thus, apprehending danger to the life of the petitioner, prayer is for transferring the trial at the place where the complainant (petitioner herein) usually resides i.e. Patiala. Besides, it is also informed to the Court that in Patiala, one more litigation initiated at the instance of the petitioner, is pending consideration. 3.
After arguing for some time, when the Court was not inclined with the submissions so addressed by counsel for the petitioner, he seeks withdrawal of present petition with liberty to avail alternative remedy as available under the concerned law.
