(ORAL) This petition has been filed for quashing of complaint No. 05 dated 8.1.2016 under Section 138 read with Section 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 read along with Section 420 IPC (Annexure P-1) and all the consequent proceedings arising therefrom including the summoning order dated 27.5.2016 (Annexure P-9).

Learned counsel for the parties submit that since the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and on the basis of compromise, the FIR, got registered by the respondent against the petitioner has been quashed, the complaint in question may also be quashed. Vide order of even date, passed in CRM-M-8825-2018, FIR No. 392 dated 28.10.2017, under Sections 420, 177, 120-B at Police Station Focal Point, Ludhiana, got registered by respondent Anil Kumar Jain partner of M/s Surindra Steel Rolling and General Mills against the GURPREET SINGH 2020.02.03 16:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh

CRM-M No. 12621 of 2018 -2petitioner, has been quashed on the basis of compromise arrived at between the parties. The present complaint has also been filed by respondent Anil Kumar Jain against Narinder Pal Singh.

Keeping in view the above, this petition is allowed. Complaint No. 05 dated 8.1.2016 under Section 138 read with Section 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 read along with Section 420 IPC (Annexure P-1) and all the consequent proceedings arising therefrom including the summoning order dated 27.5.2016 (Annexure P-9) are quashed qua the petitioner.
