CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARUN MONGA
Present:
None for the petitioners.
Mr. R.K.S. Brar, Additional A.G., Haryana.
*** ARUN MONGA, J. (ORAL) Petition was filed in the year 1997, inter alia, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to grant the benefit of higher standard pay scale to the petitioners on completion of 10 and 20 years of service in terms of Government letter dated 08.02.1994 (Annexure P-2) after taking into account ad hoc service rendered by them before regularization.
Petition was admitted on 21.03.1997 and it was ordered to be heard within six months.
When called out for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioners. It seems that by sheer effluxion of time and pendency of the writ petition for more than 24 years before this Court, either it has been rendered infructuous or even otherwise the petitioners seem to have lost interest in pursuing the same.
Be that as it may, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file an appropriate application in case, any cause of action still survives.
