CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE INDERJIT SINGH
Present:
Mr.B.S.Bhalla, Advocate for the petitioner.
**** INDERJIT SINGH, J.
Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.01 dated 03.01.2017 under Sections 379-B and 201 IPC, registered at Police Station Cantonment Amritsar, Distributed Amritsar.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.
From the record, I find that in the present case FIR has been got registered by Rupinder Kaur that she was coming from Putlighar Chowk towards Sadar Cantt. and when she was to board on a rickshaw at Cantt. Road, two youths came from behind on a motorcycle and snatched her wallet, which was containing ATM, shopping card, `3000-`4000/-, two Army Canteen cards, PAN card, Pension card etc. Vineet Gulati 2017.04.07 17:14 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh The present petitioner has been nominated in the present case.
CRM No.M-11898 of 2017 -2Keeping in view the nature and gravity of the offence and further in view of the fact that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where petitioner is entitled to benefit of anticipatory bail.
Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
