(Oral) The instant Writ Petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the official respondents to demolish a portion of first floor of property No.914/352, Saidan Gate, Meena Bazar, Jalandhar, owned by the petitioner and a portion of the ground floor of said property also (which is a shop owned by the petitioner measuring about 175 sq. ft.) under their supervision, since the same has developed cracks on account of illegal and haphazard construction/renovation work carried out in the ground floor by the owners of the said property and the entire building is likely to fall any time.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to avail his other remedies available under the law.
