(Oral) Today, at the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner had initially filed an application before the trial Court seeking his release on bail in terms of Section 167(2) Cr.P.C. as the challan had not been filed despite a period of 61 days having elapsed but the same came to be declined vide impugned order dated 7.2.2020 on the ground that a period of 180 days is provided. Learned counsel has submitted that subsequently since the challan was not filed even after 180 days, he moved an application before MOHAN SINGH 2021.08.31 20:39 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
