The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 20.03.2024 passed by this Court in CWP-4060-2024, whereby, on the basis of communication, Mr. Vikas Singh assured that the elections would be held within four weeks from 20.03.2024. Learned counsel for respondent was directed to ensure that free and fair elections should be held and the writ petition was disposed of. 2.

Learned counsel for the respondent contends that in compliance of order dated 20.03.2024, compliance affidavit of Sarabjit Singh Hundal, General Manager (Retired), Gurdaspur Co-operative Sugar Mills Ltd. Paniar, Gurdaspur, dated 28.04.2025 has been filed and the same is taken on record.

A perusal of compliance affidavit of Sarabjit Singh Hundal, General Manager (Retired), Gurdaspur Co-operative Sugar Mills Ltd. Paniar, Gurdaspur, dated 28.04.2025 shows that order dated 20.03.2024 has been complied with and the election has been conducted on 18.03.2025. 4.

In view of the above, contempt is purged and rule is discharged. 5.
