PANKAJ JAIN, J. (ORAL) This writ petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to decide the departmental appeal preferred by the petitioner in a time bound manner.

Mr. A.S. Kang appearing on advance notice on behalf of the respondents submits that he has instructions to submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner would be decided within a period of eight weeks. Finding it to be a fair request, present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to the respondents to decide the appeal preferred by the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
