H. S. Madaan, J. (Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that an FIR with regard to son of the petitioner, namely, Puneet Kumar @ Monu, having gone missing was lodged. After investigation, the police had submitted cancellation report in the matter. However, learned Illaqa Magistrate, was not satisfied with the same and was of the view that the matter require further investigation. Therefore, vide order dated 21.7.2018, he had returned the cancellation report to the Investigating Agency with a direction to carry out further investigation. Copy of that order has been placed on record as Annexure P-2.

The grouse of the petitioner is that till date the report has not been resubmitted after carrying out further investigation before the Illaqa Magistrate, Ludhiana. By way of filing the present petition, the BANITA CHUGH 2020.02.26 16:30 I am the author of this document

CRM-M- No. 8114 of 2020 -2petitioner seeks issuance of a direction to the State of Punjab and the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, District Ludhiana, to submit status report with regard to the said FIR.

The petition is disposed of with a direction to the Illaqa Magistrate to call for the report from the police authorities at the earliest and then deal with the matter in accordance with law. ( H.S.
