Petitioner has preferred this petition for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondent No.2 to release electric connection to the petitioner without any further delay.

Learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon number of cases in which representations filed by similarly situated aggrieved persons have been directed to be decided by respondent No.2 within a specified time in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioner refers to an order dated 21.02.2022 passed by this Court in CWP No.2552 of 2022. CWP No. 4885 of 2022 -2For the relief in question, representation dated 11.01.2022 (Annexure P-5) filed by the petitioner is pending before respondent No.2.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case his representation dated 11.01.2022 is directed to be decided by respondent No.2 by passing a speaking order in accordance with law.

In view of nature of order which this Court proposes to pass, there is no necessity of serving upon the respondents at this stage, as no order prejudicial to the interest of any party is being passed and it will further delay disposal of the present case.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to take an appropriate decision on pending representation dated 11.01.2022 (Annexure P-5) filed by the petitioner and decide the same in accordance with law preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
