The plea of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate grounds in view of death of his father who was serving as PTI Teacher was rejected by the DPI. He has filed appeal/representation before the Secretary, Education. Same is still pending. According to learned counsel, petitioner would be satisfied if same is considered by the concerned authority. Notice of motion.

On the asking of court, Ms. Anu Chatrath, Addl. A.G. Punjab, who is present in court, accepts notice on behalf of official respondent(s). She submits that in case any such representation is pending before the Secretary, Education, same shall be looked into and an appropriate decision shall be taken within six weeks.

In view of above, no further direction is necessary. Petition is hereby disposed of.
