* * * * Notice issued to the petitioner has been received back unserved with the report "no person of such name is residing at the given address." Mr. HS Garcha, DAG Punjab appearing along with Mr.

Palminder Singh Gill, Deputy Controller submits that an amount of Rs.19,710/- deducted from the gratuity (subject matter of dispute in the writ petition) had been paid way back to the petitioner on 18.01.2001 vide cheque No.700932. Necessary documents in that behalf have been placed on record.
