Mr. Sandeep Thakan, Advocate,for the petitioner. ***** SUDHIR MITTAL, J. (ORAL) The petitioner joined the Bachelor of Arts 3 years degree course in respondent No.3 in the year 2013. She could not complete the course within the prescribed period of three years as she could not pass in all the subjects. She took re-appear examination in the subject of English of 6th Semester in the year 2019 but could not qualify. Hence, she represented before the Vice Chancellor of respondent No.1 vide representation dated 17.02.2020 for grant of a mercy chance. However, no order has been passed thereupon and thus, the present writ petition has been filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the students like the petitioner are entitled to grant of a mercy chance. However, he has failed to point out any rule/regulation which entitles the petitioner to a mercy chance. 3.

Thus, no relief can be granted to the petitioner. 4.

The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
