JAISHREE THAKUR, J.(ORAL) The instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioners for issuance of a direction to the officials respondent Nos. 2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners as well as their relatives at the hands of private respondents No. 4 & 5. In this regard the petitioners have also approached the authorities by filing a representation dated 05.12.2017 (Annexure P-3).
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that he would be satisfied if respondent No.3 be directed to look into the representation dated 05.12.2017 (Annexure P-3) and take action in accordance with law, in a time bound manner.

Mr. A.S. Sandhu, learned Addl. Advocate General, Punjab who is present in the Court, accepts notice on behalf of the State. Three copies of the petition be handed over to him by learned counsel for the petitioners during the course of the day failing which no action is called for.
