(ORAL) Status report by way of affidavit dated 5.10.2015 of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, (West) Ludhiana, on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3, filed in the Court today, is taken on record and copy thereof, has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the State, while referring to the averments taken in the affidavit filed today, submits that an effective enquiry was conducted by a senior officer of the rank of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana. The allegations levelled by respondent No.4 against the petitioner were found baseless and accordingly, the matter was filed. In this view of the matter, the present petition does not survive any further and may be disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous.
