The petitioner prays for issuance of the writ in the nature of mandamus to direct the respondents to keep the departmental proceedings in abeyance till the evidence in criminal case arising from FIR No. 3 dated 01.05.2019, registered under Section 377, 388, 389, 109, 115, 116 and 120-B IPC, at Police Station State Special Operations Cell, S.A.S. Nagar, Mohali, is recorded.

The departmental proceedings are stated to be pending before the Inquiry Officer on 28.02.2023.

At this stage, the learned counsel representing the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the writ petition in order to file an appropriate application before the competent authority. 4.
