(Oral) Petitioner No.1 - Roomi Devi aged about 30 years, wife of respondent No.4 - Munish Kumar, and petitioner No.2 - Rahul Kumar aged about 22 years, both of whom are in a 'live-in' relationship, seek issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondent No.4, who does not approve of their 'live-in' relationship.

Pursuant to service of advance notice, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, AAG, Haryana, upon instructions from ASI Rajbir Singh, has informed that a brief inquiry was conducted and statements of the petitioners as well as respondent No. 4 - Munish Kumar have been recorded and both the petitioners have stated that they have compromised the matter with respondent No.4, who does not have any objection to the same and at present they do not have any PANKAJ KAKKAR 2023.02.27 14:08 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

( 2 ) CRWP-1831-2023 (O&M) threat to their lives and liberty. The photocopies of statements of petitioners as well as respondent No.4 furnished by learned State counsel are taken on record.

In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition is disposed off have been rendered infructuous.

However, in case at a later stage, the petitioners apprhend any kind of threat to their lives and liberty, it shall be open to them to approach this Court again.
