R.P. Nagrath, J. (Oral) Petitioner seeks bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C. in FIR No. 171 dated 14.07.2014 for offences under Sections 324 and 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), registered at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar. Section 326 IPC was added subsequently. The allegation against the petitioner was that he caught hold of the victim but as per prosecution story he did not inflict any injury to the victim.

It is submitted that Gaggu @ Khanda co-accused has already been granted regular bail by this Court vide order dated 23.04.2015 passed in CRM-M-7650 of 2015.

The petitioner is in custody since 08.08.2014 and it will take long time in conclusion of the trial. The offences are triable by the Magistrate.
