IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATES OF PUNJAB AND
HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M No.12562 of 2017 Date of Decision.22.09.2017 Baljinder Singh ........Petitioner Vs State of Punjab ........Respondent
Present:
Mr. Jagraj Singh Khiva, Advocate for the petitioner.
Ms. Seena Mand, DAG, Punjab.
CORAM:HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE AMIT RAWAL -.- AMIT RAWAL J.(ORAL) Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC Gamdoor Singh, IO, submits that in pursuance of the interim order dated 16.08.2017, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned counsel for the complainant submits that the amount has not been paid and therefore, the interrogation of the petitioner would be required.
I am, prima facie, of the view that it is a case of civil nature which has been given colour and tinge of criminal dispute. Without expressing on merits of the stand taken by the counsel for the complainant, which is matter of evidence, interim order dated 16.08.2017 is made absolute and the petition stands disposed of.
