'(# & & 1 (i)The FIR was registered due to a matrimonial dispute between the parties who are husband and wife. The dispute has been amicably settled between the parties through mediation vide settlement agreement dated 24.02.2022.
(ii)The petitioner has agreed to pay a sum of Rs. 75,00,000/- as permanent alimony to respondent No. 2. The parties have already filed a petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent.
(iii)The petitioner is 47 years old and continuation of criminal proceedings will cause severe repercussions to the petitioner in discharge of his social obligations as well as in his work place.
