This petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to give all benefits to the petitioners, which are allowed to the employees of Haryana State Education Department, who are similarly placed.

Learned State counsel, on instructions, submits that all the petitioners were employees of Mewat Model Schools, which were run by the Mewat Development Agency. All these schools have now been taken over by the government vide order dated 12.1.2022, with the condition that employees working in regular capacity in these Schools and having qualification at par with that of their counterparts working in School Education Department, are to be absorbed as regular employee in Mewat Cadre of the School Education Department. CWP No.4480 of 1996 -2- 2024:PHHC:006247 these Schools are also taken over by the School Education Department; where the post is not sanctioned, the same will be got sanctioned from the Finance Department. Services of the contractual employees (teaching/non-teaching) will continue as such on contract basis. 3.

In view of the subsequent developments during pendency of the petition, the grievance raised by the petitioners in the instant petition no longer subsists since employees of the Mewat Model Schools have now been absorbed/taken over in service of the School Education Department, in terms of the order dated 12.1.2022.

In view thereof, the petition stands disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
